TechSpace is a programme of Camara Education Ireland. TechSpace offers training, development support and opportunities for youth organisations to deliver the TechSpace Programme in their local clubs and projects with young people.

In-person training

This package will include
  • A blended learning format of in person, online, group and individual self-directed learning.
  • The certificate covers 7 fundamental competencies to effectively deliver digital and STEAM projects in youth settings.
  • Each competency will develop the participants’ knowledge of digital creativity learning theories, and build their skills to confidently use digital and STEAM frameworks, models, approaches and tools to ignite creative confidence in young people.

  • This training has been designed to help youth workers and volunteers to gain skills and knowledge related to facilitating high-quality youth creative media-making experiences. Participants will explore formats and styles, learn how best to support youth throughout the production process, plan exhibitions, and hone the technical skills necessary to use creative media-making software.
  • Participants will reflect on the practice of youth media and how best to facilitate and encourage the creative process with young people. It is expected that by the end of the training, participants will be able to guide young people to develop key 21st Century Skills: critical thinking, communication, collaboration and creativity which will allow them them to Create with Confidence.
